Description
Hand-painted in Switzerland, the caquelons are a real eye-catcher - each motif has its own charm. Choose your favorite.

Alois Carigiet (* 30 August 1902 Trun, Grisons; † 1 August 1985 Trun) gained fame as a Swiss artist, lithograph and children’s book author. His three best known children’s books are: "A Bell for Ursli", "Florina and the Wild Bird" and “The Snowstorm”. In particular, his book "A Bell for Ursli" with text by Selina Chönz brought him national fame in Switzerland. Alois Carigiet’s love of the Engadine landscape infiltrates all of his pictures. These unique Carigiet paintings have been copied onto Rheinfelder ceramic products. The manual production and artistic painting by well-practised hands give each unique item its special, individual character.

Our products made of high-quality ceramics are handmade and can therefore have small variations in shape, material and decoration.
  • Natural product made of high quality ceramics
  • Delightful Swiss charm
  • Lovingly handcrafted
  • Handcrafted in Switzerland
  • Suitable for all types of hob, including induction
  • Capacity 2.6 litre, perfect for 4–6 people (assume 200g of cheese per person)
Use and Care

  • Warm the fondue pot with the cheese mixtures and all ingredients at medium heat for 5 minutes. Increase the temperature and boil it while stirring constantly.
  • Do not use a power level on an induction hob. If the first bubbles form, the cheese has melted and can be placed on the tablerechaud.
  • Do not tap the stirring ladle fork on the sides of the fondue pot when preparing or eating the fondue. To prevent the fondue from burning, we recommend the use of an aluminium transmission plate. This is placed between the fondue pot and rechaud to achieve even heat distribution and to protect the fondue pot. Reduce the heat of the rechaud burner to a medium level to prevent the cheese from burning.
  • After use, leave the fondue pot filled with cold water to stand for a short time to facilitate removal of cheese residues. The fondue pot can then be easily cleaned with detergent and a brush. After cleaning, let it dry out for 24 hours with the bottom facing up.
  • The fondue pot is not suitable for dishwashers.
  • Small hairline cracks in the glaze ensure high thermal shock resistance of the fondue pot. For the glazes in light colours, hairline crack structures may become visible. If cheese gets on the exterior glaze, wipe it off as soon as possible to avoid stains.
