Alois Carigiet was known for his work as a Swiss painter, draughtsman, lithographer and children's book author.
His best-known picture books include "Schellen-Ursli", "Der grosse Schnee" and "Flurina und das Wildvögelein".
Bring the unmistakable Carigiet paintings to your fondue table with our Alpine Ascent fondue set.
Made and painted by hand in Switzerland, this set has a charm all of its own. Small variations in shape, material and decoration emphasise the individuality of each fondue pot.
- Lovingly handcrafted
- Each fondue pot is unique
- Diameter 20cm
- Plate and caquelon matching the Schellen-Ursli theme
- Warm the fondue pot with the cheese mixture and all ingredients at medium heat for about 5 minutes. Increase the temperature and boil it while stirring constantly. If the first bubbles form, the cheese has melted and can be placed on the tablerechaud. To prevent the fondue from burning, we recommend the use of an aluminium transmission plate. This is placed between the fondue pot and Rechaud to achieve even heat distribution and to protect the caquelon. Reduce the heat of the rechaud burner to a medium level to prevent the cheese from burning. After use, leave the fondue pot filled with cold water to stand for a short time to facilitate removal of cheese residues. The fondue pot can then be easily cleaned with detergent and a brush.
- The fondue pot is not dishwasher suitable.
- Small hairline cracks in the glaze ensure high thermal shock resistance of the fondue pot. For the glazes in light colours, hairline crack structures may become visible.
- Plates are dishwasher suitable, washing by hand is recommended.
