Use and Care
Use and Care
- Ceramic is not naturally suitable for use on induction hobs. However, with the correct induction adapter plate (item no. 32031, Ø 19 cm), any ceramic Fondue pot can be used very easily on an induction hob. Simply place the adapter plate on the hob, set the Fondue pot on top and use a maximum of ¾ of the hob’s power.
- Warm the caquelon with the cheese mixture and all ingredients at medium heat for about 5 minutes. Increase the temperature and boil it while stirring constantly. If the first bubbles form, the cheese has melted and can be placed on the tablerechaud. To prevent the fondue from burning, we recommend the use of an aluminium transmission plate. This is placed between the caquelon and Rechaud to achieve even heat distribution and to protect the caquelon. Reduce the heat of the rechaud burner to a medium level to prevent the cheese from burning. After use, leave the caquelon filled with cold water to stand for a short time to facilitate removal of cheese residues. The caquelon can then be easily cleaned with detergent and a brush.
- The caquelon is not dishwasher suitable.
- Small hairline cracks in the glaze ensure high thermal shock resistance of the fondue pot. For the glazes in light colours, hairline crack structures may become visible.
- Never use the burner without fuel paste in the aluminium cup. Use the aluminium cup either with pre-filled fuel paste or refill it with liquid safety fuel paste.
