INTERVIEW WITH SIMONE KURATLI,
SALES ADMINISTRATION SWITZERLAND
WHY A VISIT IS WORTHWHILE
WHY SHOULD EVERYONE GO BEHIND THE SCENES AT KUHN RIKON?
On the production tour, visitors can follow the entire production process of a pan step by step. It is interesting to see all the different stages a pan goes through before it reaches your home. It is definitely worth taking a closer look at our Swiss production facility.
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT OF THE FACTORY TOUR?
My favourite part is the tour of the museum. I find it really interesting to see how people used to cook. In addition to the history of cooking, you can also see how kitchens generally have changed through the ages and learn about the Kuhn family history. This variety is what makes the museum so interesting for me.
WHAT DO YOU DO AT THE COMPANY OTHER THAN THE FACTORY TOURS?
I work in internal sales in Switzerland and am responsible for drawing up quotations, entering orders and responding to customer enquiries. I also look after the apprentices in our department.
DO YOU LIKE TO HIKE OR TRAVEL IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I do like to travel, although there has not been much opportunity for this in recent times. I love discovering new places. In summer, I am planning a road trip through Switzerland with a colleague.
WHICH KUHN RIKON PRODUCT DO YOU TAKE WITH YOU ON A HIKE OR TRAVEL?
I find our Mini Raclette sets very practical when out and about. The set’s compact size means that it can be easily stowed away in a backpack. Since the Rechaud works with candles, you can prepare a warm meal any time and anywhere.
