Ingredients

  • »500 g floury potatoes peel and cut into cubes 1 cm / 0.4 inch size
  • »500 g sweet potatoes Peel and cut into cubes (2 cm / 0.8 inch)
  • »4 spring onions Wash, halve the bulbs and cut into fine strips. Cut the green parts into small rings
  • »3 garlic cloves peel and squeeze
  • »2 green chilli Remove the stem and cut the flesh along with the seeds into small rings
  • »2 cm ginger Fresh Scrape off the peel and then grate finely
  • »2 tsp salt
  • »1/2 tsp black pepper ground
  • »2 tomatoes remove the stalk and core, cut into small cubes
  • »3 dl Soy milk
  • »2 tbsp coconut oil
  • »150 g natural yoghurt Mix in a bowl and set aside
  • » Sea salt and black pepper Freshly ground

Seasoning

  • »1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • »1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • »1/4 tsp cinnamon ground
  • »1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
  • »1 tsp ground turmeric Place the spices ready to hand in a small bowl

Instructions

1. Heat up the spice mix in the coconut oil for 3 minutes on setting 1/2 until the aromas develop.

2. Add the onion strips, garlic, chilli and ginger, and cook together for 3 minutes.

3. Add the diced tomato, both kinds of potatoes, soy milk and half of the onion rolls, then stir well.

4. Place the lid on and heat until a thin plume of steam rises from between the lid and rim of the pan.

5. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

6. Start the cooking assistant. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

7. Then place the DUROTHERM® / HOTPAN® into the base / insulating bowl and softcook for 15 minutes.

Serving

At the end of the cooking time, sprinkle the dish with the remaining green spring onion and, if necessary, season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve the yoghurt separately.

The dish remains warm in the DUROTHERM® / HOTPAN® for quite a long time. The longer it stands, the more intensively the aromas combine.
