Note

Dried legumes should be soaked overnight or for 7-8 hours in cold water. Rinse with cold water before using.

Ingredients

  • 700 g beef shoulder have the butcher cut it into 3 cm / 1.2 inches large pieces
  • 1 onions (120 g) peel and chop finely
  • 5 garlic cloves Crush or chop
  • 2 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 6 dl strong beef stock
  • 450 g dried small white beans (such as navy) Soak in cold water overnight or for 8 hours
  • 400 g diced tomato Tinned Allow to drain in a kitchen sieve
  • 3 sprigs dill Pluck the dill tips from the stems and chop finely
  • 1 dl pomegranate juice Reduce to a syrup by simmering in a small pan
  • Sea salt and black pepper Freshly ground

Preparations

Step 1

1. Place the beans into the DUROMATIC® Comfort without trivert and cover with cold water.

2. Close the lid and start cooking assistant of the app. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

3. At the end of the cooking time pour the beans out into a draining sieve.

Step 2

1. Heat the sunflower oil on medium heat into the DUROMATIC® Comfort and lightly brown the onions.

2. Add the garlic, tomato purée, paprika powder as well as the chilli flakes and cook together for 1 minute.

3. Douse with the stock, then add the meat. Bring to the boil whilst stirring.

4. Close the lid and start cooking assistant of the app. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

Step 3

1. Open the lid and put the pot back on the hob. Then add the cubed tomatoes and white beans, allow to simmer lightly for 10 minutes.

Serving

Finally, add the dill tips and the pomegranate syrup. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
