Note

Kadai paneer is a delicious Indian dish made from paneer and paprika cooked in an aromatic spice mix. It is traditionally served with naan bread, roti or various types of rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
  • 1 onions chopped
  • 4 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tsp cumin ground
  • 2 tsp coriander ground
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp cardamom ground
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp chipotle chilli or smoked paprika powder
  • 1 green pepper diced
  • 1 red pepper diced
  • 2 garlic cloves Crush or chop
  • 2 cm ginger Fresh or as desired cut into fine strips
  • 2 tomatoes diced
  • 250 g Chopped tinned tomatoes or passata
  • 400 g Paneer dice (approx. 1x1cm)
  • 1 dl coconut milk as desired
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in the DUROMATIC®.

2. Sauté the onion for 1 minute. Add the spices and fry briefly until fragrant.

3. Add the peppers, garlic and ginger and sauté briefly. Stir occasionally.

4. Add the tomatoes, passata and paneer, bring to the boil. Add the coconut milk and season with salt, stir.

5. Close the lid. Cook at pressure on setting 1 for 5 minutes.

6. Start the cooking assistant. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

7. At the end of the cooking time, remove the DUROMATIC from the heat and leave to cool until the pan is depressurised and the pressure indicator remains at the bottom.

8. Open the lid, season to taste. Serve the kadai paneer with rice of your choice and garnish with fresh coriander.
