Please note that the size of the pot should correspond to the size of the whole chicken.
1. Sweat the onions in butter, then add the garlic, ginger, apple slices and curry powder and continue to sweat.
2. Add the broth, then add the mango chutney, raw sugar and lemon juice and bring to boil. Put the chicken with the breast down in the stock.
3. Close the lid and cook under pressure on setting 2 for 20 minutes.
4. As soon as the desired pressure level has been reached, start the cooking assistant. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android
5. At the end of the cooking time cool the rim of the cooker under cold running water until the pressure indicator stem remains in its lowest position.
6. While the chicken is cooking, roast the almond flakes without fat in the frying pan until golden brown.
7. Open the lid, turn the chicken upside down and sprinkle with Garam Masala.
8. Close the lid. Cook at pressure on setting 1 for 5 minutes.
9. As soon as the desired pressure level has been reached, start the cooking assistant. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android
10. Once the cooking time is finished, set the DUROMATIC® aside and allow to cool.
11. Carefully lift the chicken out of the DUROMATIC® Comfort onto a large plate, remove the skin and cut into pieces. Then place in a serving bowl and keep warm.
12. Disposable gloves can also be used for this work. However, keep your hands cool in cold water repeatedly when dividing up the chicken.
13. Reduce the sauce somewhat, then purée with the stick blender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Pour the curry sauce over the chicken pieces. Sprinkle with the almond flakes. Serve with basmati rice.
Hint As additional side dishes could be served: mango chutney, pineapple cubes and baked bananas.
