BLACK STAR FRYING PAN IRON

A FRYING PAN FOR LIFE

BLACK STAR uncoated cast iron frying pans are made with top-quality steel. As a result, they’re incredibly robust – and will quite literally last you a lifetime. What’s more, iron is excellent at storing and conducting heat. Heat is distributed evenly over the entire base of the pan and given off evenly to the food, guaranteeing crisp results every time.

SEAR MEAT LIKE A PROFESSIONAL

Our uncoated BLACK STAR cast iron frying pan is ideal for searing big cuts of meat. But it’s also equally adept at preparing crispy Swiss “Rösti” (sautéed potato pancakes).

A PRODUCT THAT WILL LAST YOU FOR LIFE

BLACK STAR cast iron frying pans are manufactured at our Swiss production site in Rikon. Thanks to precision manufacturing and quality raw materials, we can guarantee this product will last you for life!

FRYING IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Enjoy your favourite dishes outside in the great outdoors! In contrast to coated frying pans, BLACK STAR pans can also be used over an open fire or a barbecue.

CARE GUIDE – TO ENJOY YOUR PAN FOR YEARS TO COME

Before using your cast iron frying pan for the first time, make sure to season it. This creates a film of grease with a natural, lasting non-stick effect that prevents food from sticking to the pan so easily.

Thereafter, every time you use the pan, wipe it clean with a dry cloth. Only use water if it is absolutely necessary to do so. Important: do not use washing-up liquid!
Before you put the frying pan away, rub a little cooking oil over the base.

Bits of food may stick to the base of your pan. To remove burnt-on residue from a cast iron pan, you need to “strip” it. Rub salt on the burnt-on lumps to dislodge them. Please note that stripping the pan will also destroy its patina. For this reason, you’ll need to re-season it after stripping it.
