OUR PLANET-FRIENDLY PRODUCT LINE HAS GROWN

We believe the products we design should help to combat the climate crisis. That’s why we launched our NEW LIFE® frying pan in 2021, followed by our NEW LIFE® Pro frying pan and oven dish in the spring of 2022. As we press ahead, their huge success is welcome proof of the fact that we’re on the right track. We’re delighted to be introducing additional environmentally responsible products to our NEW LIFE® Pro cookware range, all made of 100% recycled aluminium.

The process used to recycle aluminium requires only a small fraction of the energy used to produce new aluminium. And to top it all, recycled aluminium is even stronger and more durable than new aluminium! In other words, being mindful of our planet doesn’t always mean making compromises.

100 % RECYCLING ALUMINIUM

Our NEW LIFE® Pro products are made of 100% recycled European aluminium. As a result, they save up to 95% of the energy and carbon emissions used and emitted when manufacturing conventional aluminium products.

So it’s well worth collecting your used aluminium tins and disposing of them correctly – because only then can we source the recycled material we need to make new products!

 

HOW ALUMINIUM IS RECYCLED

Waste aluminium (tins, window frames, wheel rims etc.) is collected and pressed into bales. These bales are then delivered to a recycling plant where they’re shredded and put on conveyor belts. Once all impurities and coatings have been removed, the aluminium is melted down and pressed into blocks, which are then heated and rolled out into sheets. In a final step, we cut circular plates from the sheets and use them to make the bodies of our new frying pans.

PARTICULARLY STURDY
Thanks to new technology, the material we use for our NEW LIFE® Pro products is stronger and more durable than new aluminium. Our high-quality recycled aluminium is made from different aluminium alloys, which makes it much more resilient than pure aluminium. The excellent properties of our recycled aluminium also mean that the pans and dishes retain heat extremely well and distribute it evenly when cooking food.

COMFORTABLE AND SAFE TO USE
The ergonomically-shaped grips and handle make them extremely safe and comfortable to use. Thanks to its ingenious design, the oven dish is easy to grip and won’t slip out your hands. Featuring high sides, the oven dish can be used for a wide range of dishes.

NO VACUUM
The lid is made of glass so that you can watch your food as it cooks, and features an integrated steam outlet to prevent a vacuum from forming as food cools down.

SAFE POURING
A pouring rim has been added for your convenience and allows you to transfer food cleanly and safely.

EASY STORAGE
The lid enables you to store or transport food quickly and easily.

FOOD NO LONGER STICKS

Three high-quality non-stick layers make cooking easier than ever before and allow you to cook food without greasing the pan or dish – for even healthier meals. Casseroles and cakes won’t stick to the oven dish, which means they’re easier than ever to serve. In addition, the products are much easier to clean because you don’t need to soak them for hours, and a tiny blob of washing up liquid suffices for the job. The non-stick coating is water-repellent, which saves time, water and effort when cleaning the product.

The Swiss-made non-stick coating is equally resource-friendly – the manufacturing process uses less water and energy and generates no harmful substances. Last but not least, short transport routes maximise sustainability.

In addition to being made of 100% recycled aluminium, our NEW LIFE® Pro products are manufactured exclusively at our Swiss production site in Rikon. We manufacture all our aluminium products here in Switzerland because the technology we use is very complex and we want to ensure the high quality of the finished products.
