Since 1899, cookware and accessories have been manufactured in Rikon - very close to Zurich. When it comes to quality, functionality and innovation Kuhn Rikon sets the standards. This is only possible thanks to continuous process optimization, modern production facilities and refined manufacturing steps.
For the production of cookware, the same applies to a good meal: The best material and excellent tools. At Kuhn Rikon, we use only the best raw material. And with the same care and skill as the good cook and the enthusiastic chef prepare a fine meal, we manufacture our cookware.
For the development and production of our products, we use state-of-the-art tools such as CAD/CAM. Designers, constructors and toolmakers create the technical basis for this. The manufacturing processes are controlled by EDP. First, high-quality steel sheets are formed into hollow bodies. Then, using a process developed by us, the multi-layer special bases (Superthermic sandwich base) are joined to the pot bodies. In the fully automated surface finishing department, the cookware is ground and polished.
In the assembly line, which is equipped with robots, the fittings are mounted and the pans are individually packaged. The computer-controlled high-bay warehouse makes it possible to prepare and deliver each of our items within 24 hours. Electronic testing methods guarantee consistent high quality. For example, our DUROMATIC® pressure cookers must pass a durability test that simulates 50 years of use.
Every KUHN RIKON cookware can be used for all types of stoves, which requires continuous laboratory tests. To ensure that the high quality remains guaranteed, the SQS certification (Quality Management and Quality Assurance ISO 9001) is renewed every three years.
