  • »1 1/4 pounds finely minced lamb or beef
  • »2 tbsp paprika
  • »2 pinches cinnamon
  • »3 garlic cloves Crush
  • »2 sprigs peppermint pluck off leaves and chop coarsely
  • »1 tsp salt
  • »1/2 tsp black pepper
  • »2 tbsp olive oil - keep ready for frying

Sauce

  • »2 tbsp olive oil
  • »4 spring onions Wash, halve the bulbs and cut into fine strips. Cut the green parts into small rings
  • »2 garlic cloves peel and squeeze
  • »14 ounces chopped tomatoes tinned
  • »3/4 cup instant beef stock
  • »2 pinches cinnamon
  • »2 pinches Ras el Hanout (spice mix)
  • »2 tbsp pine nuts dry roast lightly in a frying pan
  • » Sea salt and black pepper Freshly ground

Preparations

1. Work the mince into a compact mass together with all the other ingredients.

2. Then shape into walnut-size balls.

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in the in the frying pan, brown the meatballs and place onto a platter.

2. Heat the olive oil in the HOTPAN® Comfort on medium heat.

3. Sweat the spring onions with the garlic for 2 minutes.

4. Add the chopped tomatoes, bouillon as well as the cinnamon and Ras El Hanout and season with salt and pepper.

5. As soon as the sauce starts to simmer, add the meatballs.

6. Put on the lid and start the cooking assistant of the app. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

7. In the meantime, dry roast the pine nuts lightly in the frying pan.

Serving

Place the pot without lid back on the cooking zone and allow the sauce to reduce somewhat.

Finally, sprinkle with the pine nuts.

The dish remains warm in the HOTPAN® Comfort for quite a long time.

Hint: Serve with plain rice.
