  • »1 carrots peel and cut into cubes 1 cm / 0.4 inch size
  • »1 floury potatoes peel and cut into cubes 1 cm / 0.4 inch size
  • »1/4 light-coloured leeks cut in half lengthways, wash and cut into strips
  • »1/4 celeriac peel and cut into cubes 1 cm / 0.4 inch size
  • »1/2 cup barley
  • »2 ounces Bündnerfleisch (air-dried meat) or panfried bacon Dice finely
  • »5 cups instant vegetable stock
  • »2 bay leaves
  • »3 1/2 tbsp cream
  • »1 bunch chives wash and chop finely
  • » Sea salt and black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions

1. Heat the sunflower oil in the DUROTHERM® / HOTPAN® on medium heat.

2. Lightly fry the onions and garlic for 2 minutes.

3. Add the vegetables and cook together.

4. Add pearl barley and Bündnerfleisch [air-dried meat] or the panfried bacon.

5. Douse with the bouillon and bring to a boil, stirring constantly

6. Add the bay leaves.

7. Put on the lid and start the cooking assistant of the app. The app can be installed free of charge in the corresponding store for iOS and Android

Serving

Season the soup to taste and enhance with cream, then sprinkle with chives.

The dish remains warm in the HOTPAN® Comfort for quite a long time.
