"I'm a huge believer in pressure cookers. Mine is a Kuhn Rikon. I think it's the best and it's also the simplest—there are no gauges or knobs all over it. I use it as a fast steamer—I make corn on the cob in five minutes. Rice takes 10. Root vegetables come out better in it, because it forces the internal moisture of anything to stay inside."
